At the south end of Brooksville's historic district is the l885 Russell Street Train Depot.  Our  pre-civil war dining car has been relocated for restoration and is located at Southern Plantation Hills on U.S. 41 South in Brooksville. It will be returned to our 1885 Train Station when completed.

The depot is our new home for our genealogy histories.  We are open Tuesdays and Wednesday from noon to 3:00 p.m.   Donations only.  If you need to do some research at any other time please make an appointment with Virginia Jackson at 352-799-0l29.

The Russell Street Train Depot in the future will be the headquarters for our Rails for Trails, an organization which turns old railroad beds into paved biking and jogging trails all across Florida.  Come by and visit  We are on the corner of Brooksville Avenue and Russell Street.
